“Each parish is to have a finance council which is regulated by universal law as well as by the norms issued by the diocesan bishop; in this council the Christian faithful, selected according to the same norms, aid the pastor in the administration of parish good.” Canon Law 532

The St. Basil Finance Council provides advice and oversight to the Pastor and parish staff under guidelines issued by the Diocese of Sacramento. The Council reviews

Income and Expense Statements and Proposed Budgets for the operation of the Parish. It make recommendations to the Pastor concerning the amount of revenue needed to conduct Parish activities. The Council consists of five parishioners appointed by the pastor, and meets on a quarterly basis. The Chairperson of our Finance Council is John Powers.
