Eucharistic Adoration is the act of worshiping God as He is present in the consecrated Eucharist.
Since the Last Supper, when Jesus broke the bread and distributed the wine, Catholics have believed that the
bread and wine are the actual living presence of Christ. Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament,
in prayer and devotion, is exactly the same as spending time before the Living God.
The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Ministry provides the faith
community of St. Basil with the opportunity for a deeper
holiness and greater spiritual maturity of oneself
through prayer and meditation
in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Adoration is held every Friday in the Mary’s Chapel of St. Basil
Church.
