The Marriage Preparation Ministry provides assistance to couples who
wish to be married in St. Basil Catholic Church. We
work with the couple over a six (6) month period precding
the marriage. During this period of time, all the necessary
paperwork that is needed to comply with the requirements
of the Sacramento Diocese is gathered, the couple attends
three Friday night sessions of "Bless These Rings",
the couple plans the ceremony with the aid of the
Marriage Coordinators, a rehearsal is scheduled and
run by the coordinators. On the day of the wedding,
the Coordinators prepare the Church for the ceremony
and provide assistance to insure the ceremony proceeds
