The Religious Education Program is looking for
volunteer teachers (catechists) to help provide catechesis to our public
school children of grades kindergarten through eight grade. Sacrament
classes are incorporated into the classes. Responsibilities for those
called to the ministry of catechesis include: Being able to communicate
faith and knowledge effectively in both word and deed;
Demonstrating patience, flexibility, openness and an ability to
listen; Giving sufficient preparation time to the catechetical task;
Participating in the spiritual, theological and methodological
training provided by parish, Religious Education program, and diocesan
formation and certification programs.
